hey guys i have a 89 240sx i was wondering if i should replace the Carrier Bearing/Center Support Bearing the car has 167000 on it right now also what type of transmission fluid should i use it is automatic transmission? also where would be a good place to look for rebuild kits for engine and transmission?i would also to add sometime when i start my car up it want to died or it does died what would be causing that problem thanks for the help

1. If the carrier bearing isn't broken, why fix it??? I've never heard of one having to be replaced.

2. Autozone can tell you which type of tran fluid to use, but I'm 90% sure it's Dexcron Mercron 3.

3. Nissan would be your best for rebuild parts.

4. 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 different things. More info needed for that one.

thanks for the help so what info is need ? the engine is stock the only this i have done to it is put injen cool air intake on it that is about it

swap it to a 5 speed. get it running right and then start throwing other stuff in.....such as a turbo

does it keep running when you give it gas, have you checked your plugs and fuel filter, have you tried seafoam'n it, stuff like that.

the plugs are month old i have not change the fuel filter in a while and i have not used seafoam yet but plan on it

Most Likely It's Your Dirty MAF Sensor.

Pick Up Some Mass Air Flow (MAF) Cleaner And While Your At It Some Throttle Body Cleaner As Well.

Clean Both Up And Go And It Should Some What Fix Your Problem If That's It.

Remember Carb Cleaner Is Not The Same As MAF Cleaner.
