I tried searching several ways and found nothing on Nico. I read on some other thread/forum that a 40mm wastegate WILL bolt to a 38mm flange? Is that correct? I bought a T3 super 60 and a JGS 40mm wastegate. I was wanting make sure that it will fit. Thanks guys!

(btw, the Ka-t is coming along pretty good/fast)

Why did you buy a 40 mm wastegate if you had a 38 mm flange?

Even if it does bolt up, the 40 mm wastegate has 1 mm on each side that'd be overhanging the 38 mm port...i'd think that'd be enough to cause problems...and the LAST thing you want is a leaky wastegate seal....just swap it out for a 38, i'm sure theres plenty of people wanting to upgrade to a 40 mm from a 38...

now why would there be a problem using the 40 mm wastegate on a 38 mm hole. i dont see why the size difference would matter if its going out the small hole and into the big one. i could understand if you were doing it the other way.

and besides can't you just take the gasket from the wastegate and scribe the new diameter ont the 38mm flange and enlarge it with a die grinder if you really want to be fickle.

The jgs 40mm wastegate is flanged for the tial 35/38mm flanges. It will work, because that is what I used it on.

And BTW: I'll send the tracking number for the wastegate tonight after I get off work.

If you go from a bigger holoe to a smaller then you may have a boost creep issue, going from smaller to bigger would be a benefit if anything...so long as the gasket maintains a seal.

Yeah, I'm holding it right now...LOL. You still want this damn thing?

A decent gasket withy a metal ring should be fine.

You don't use sealer, use anti-sieze and a sintered gasket.
