SIMPLE TIP*

I been doing this for some time. If you do not want to attract attention in certain situations, you can lock your Rogue with your doors open with the remote, then close the door. This will skip the headlight flashes.

This is a nice tip for those people who are the type who like to disable the horn during arming too.

You can change it so that either just the horn sounds or just the lights blink when setting the alarm.

Page 3-17 to 3-19 of the manual tells you how to change this.

Thanks for the tips.....but....
If you still has the door open, why bother to use the remote. Lock the doors with the button on the door and close the door. People have been doing this to every single car for the last 50+ years.

I actually do this occasionally to save the battery. :naughty:
The objective of this strategic move is too disable the flashing headlights in certain situations. :slap:

Like when you don't want to announce to the whole world and draw attention that you are exiting your vehicle and going inside a shopping center right after a days work of waxing your prescious Rogue while a group of kids loitering around with nothing to do....well you know what I mean. :ohno:

If you read the topic, it was not about your options on how to lock a door. The majority of people don't interpret using the door buttons as setting the alarm as they do using the remote for the last 50 years. :stickhit:
