ok, first off I did search and it led to some confusion. Hopefully you guys can clear it up for me. What I want is a simple straight forward spring/shock combo. I dont want to have to cut up struts or spring pearches. Does this eliminate koni yellows and ground controls? I want sportlines or something with a similar drop so I would need shocks/struts that would handle the drop.

sportlines and AGX. its the most universally approved setup(as in, bolts in and everyone usually happy with the results)

Konis require some "finageling" to get in correctly, but dori dori would know more about those. the ground control coilovers should drop in, but upper camber plated require cutting, etc.-chet

what about Tein S-Tech springs instead of the sportlines...i wanna keep ground clearance high...we have alot of tall speed bumps and also random dips at intersections taht u HAVE to take at high speed otherwise you'll get run over by chentes goin too fast in broken down toyotas....

I'm not Dori Dori, but the front Koni's do require that you cut your OE damper housing and bolt in the Koni strut. The rear Koni's just bolt right in.

I second the hating of Tokico blues. I work in a shop, and I can't even begin to tell you how many cars I've seen with bad HPs after only like 10-20k miles.

sixxdeuce...I'm going to be getting the Koni adjustables. I know you don't want to get something that will be difficult to install, but I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm extremely impressed by everything I read about he Koni's. Koni's customer service also appears to be top-notch. I emailed them with a question and they responded within 24 hours and sent me a nice PDF showing the modifcations needed to the front OE struts.

I've also heard a lot of bad things about the Tokiko Blues, and I've read a few accounts of the AGX premature failure, but it seems like most people who had problems with the AGX's had *excessive* drop on their cars (2"+).

Also, AFAIK the AGX are externally adjustable all around, while the Koni's are only externally adjustable in the front.

That's why I sold my Koni's. I didn't like the fact that the rears were not externally adjustable.

Koni makes a great strut though. It's still my favorite 'all around strut'. They're doing great on the Integra."_"

My KYB Buzz Specs should be here by the 5th. I can't wait to install those. I doubt they'll be as smooth as the Konis though.

As for installing the ground controls, if you are not comfortable, have a shop mount them on the struts so it's a bolt-on affair for you to install.

Good luck either way.:)

sportlines are a little over a 2 inch drop, i thought you couldent use the KYB's with that low of a drop? if not thats what i will be going with.
