I have a 93' 240SX S13, ive currently had some probles with my car, one being that the crank pulley came apart while driving :wtf2: , what fun, haha i still have 2 of the 3 stock pulleys attached, but the one i need is gone, my questions is, Do the underdrive pulleys that you can buy on ebay help? should i go stock, or get the upgrade, the pulley imlooking at is 45+ Shipping, the Stock pulley is 301+Tax, what process goes on with swapping this pulley out, its splined so i figure its not pressed, just remove belts, back off the locking nut, and swap them out? well thank for your help i appriciate every letter you guys write

Wait, the harmonic balancer came off? I'm not too familiar with the ebay ones....a stock one is really that much?

Just buy a stock used one, there is no need to spend $300 on a new pulley.

People are parting out cars all the time, just look in the classified section...you can probably pick one up for like $30 shipped.

leave the car in 5th gear
lift the front of the car
remove the belts
break loose the crank bolt with a deep 27mm socket and a breaker bar (don't remove all the way)
break loose the crank pulley with a gear puller
remove crank bolt
remove crank pulley

When reassembling torque the crank bolt to 112 ft-lb.

The ebay lightened ones are slightly smaller than stock and half the weight. But it should be pretty easy to find one in a part out.

Seriously, don't get a remade, off name harmonic balancer. You don't want to mess around with that and cheap out.

Get one in the classified section!! Don't spend 150 on a used one or something crazy like that. Take your time and search all the forums for the part you need. Then thank us later.
