okay ive found a couple threads that kinda had answers, but also had skeptiks.

the stock fuel pump. what voltage/current does it run?

ive read that it has 12v on start up for 5 secs, then drops down to 2v

ive also read that people have tested their wires and had 2x with 12v current, 2x with 0v, and one with 6-8v.

now from what ive read, theres one + wire for the fuel pump itself, one + for the fuel pump gauge, 2x - for pump and gauge, and i have no idea why there would be a 3rd +, and no i havent looked it up either.

from guessing from the wires i would imagine that the pump gets a steady 12v, and between the fpr and the injectors it would regulate the gas in the fuel lines/rail? (as in fuel lines and rail full the pump cant pump thru filled lines??)

any help on this would be much appreciated, im having fuel issues with my vehicles and im getting different answers to the same questions and getting lost in the middle
