So I have searched quite a bit and can't find a 'for sure' answer on this. I have a 1995 240sx that i bought with a blown ka to do a swap in.

I know a VVT s14 blacktop will bolt directly into my s14 chassis without modification.

I know a s15 will go in with minor modification, and a different diff.

But will a s13 red top bolt directly in without modification? I think it will, but all I seem to find is people putting them into a s13 chassis(or any motor for that matter)...not s14's.. or at least not talking about it when they do

I am pretty sure it will, but I wanted an answer before I ordered up the parts, i'd prefer to go with a non vvt engine since they are much easier to mod, and better performance overall I hear.

I know wiring is required for all of these swaps, im just talking about physically bolting up without modification.

Thank you,

Jacob

Yes the mounts are in the exact same spots and will bolt right up the wiring will be a little bit different but not hard to do at all. You should go Ca18 not too many s14 are rockin a ca it ll turn some heads and its easier on the wallet . and it has all the potential of an SR read up on bro.

Thank you! Thats what I thought, but being new to these kind of cars I didn't want to take a chance.

The CA is cheaper on paper for the initial install, but I've read parts are a bit harder to find than an sr20.. I am still doing my research on engines and will look into a CA a bit more.

I've started the removal process already, not as good as some about taking pictures of every step but i'll try and take more pictures and make a build thread later on.. I don't know how you guys do it, after doing a few things my hands are dirty enough I don't want to mess with my camera.. that and you 'get going' and next thing you know you have almost everything done and no pictures:P

It's one of those things that are "just wrong," like putting an RB20 in an S14.
