simple hardbody question need additional advice

Ok so i have an S14 240sx but i have to use it for work and i've had it so i started looking into the hardbody d21, my only issues are it has to be able to carry tools etc so no rotting too bad, the body is not all important to me as its work.
But i need to know what year are the rear wheel hb's and what year are the 4x4 ones, and are there any that are interchangeable so i can switch from 4 wheel to 2 wheel.(so i still have the chrome rear wheel taliban action lol).
And are there any pointers i should be on the look out for.

2 wheel and 4 wheel were both available from 86.5 to 97. Frame rot near the front hanger on the rear spring can be problematic on all years if there were ever driven in salt.

IIRC, 91 and up had the KAs which is more HP, aside from the cosmetic changes, 95% of the truck parts can be swapped out. 86.5-95 pathfinders are the same as well.

but is there a shifter that allows rear wheel and four wheel for example its snowing so 4 wheel or summer rear wheel ?

As far as I know all the 4 wheel drives can be run in 2 wd by shifting it to two wheel. None are full time 4 wd all are switchable.
