Hello everyone,

With the weather having finally turned, I've started on a new project with my 300...new fuel injectors. First time I've ever done this job, so I have a simple question...how do I install the injector O rings? I have the small ones in the injectors ports, but I'm wondering what I need to do with the larger ones.

Do I just slide them onto the injectors? Are they even needed on my Z? It's an 84 Turbo. Since the injectors just sit in the ports, I'm having a hard time seeing what the larger O rings would be sealing against- the injectors ports are very shallow. But I'm no expert...that's why I'm posting here. :gotme

For reference, I'm using this guide. http://www.z31.com/repairs/injector.shtml

There were a couple of variation on the injectors, later car had dual feed which I imagine had a separate seal. The 84 should be crimped onto the hose barb and just a simple ring where it goes into the intake manifold.

That seems consistent with what I'm seeing with the injector seats. I just wanted to make sure before I buttoned everything up! Thanks.
