how much do S13 silvia coupes weight? The american 240sx weights + 2,684 Lbs. but i heard the sr20det is 50 lbs lighter than the ka24de and the silvia headlights are 50lbs lighter than the usdm popup lights. So do silvias weight 2584? I'm just wondering because I want to make sure if I got silvia lights and an sr20det i'd lose 100lbs if i get an s13 coupe. wow that would be sweet. take 100lbs off the nose, get a carbon fiber hood take off another 50lbs from the nose, relocate the battery to the trunk and that should be a perfectly balanced 50/50 240sx coupe. this sound about right?stock they are 46/54STOCK1234.64 lbs rear + 1449.36lbs front stock = 2684 total lbs +25lbs battery - 200lbs from nose (50lbs silvia lights, 50lbs sr20det, 50lbs carbon fiber hood, 25lbs battery relocated to trunk)TOTAL1259.64lbs rear + 1249.36lbs front after nose weight reduction.PERFECT WEIGHT BALANCE! (maybe take out the backseat, add lightweight driveshaft, lightweight flywheel, lighter rims and racing seats to make it even more balanced and lighter)

the title for my 180 says 2600lbs, doesn't answer your question but I assume a silvia would be the same weight.

There's gonna be at least a 150lb difference between the 240, 180 and Silvia guys. S13 chassis all weigh close to the same i think, only flip ups weigh more than projectors. Its just the diff in engines. CA is the lightest, SR close next, then KA being the heaviest.

I'm sorry but i dont belive that. after my motorswap i gained about 1/2" fender gap. After my battery relocation, removal of bumper support and removal of washer tank the front end is one full inch higher than stock.

you will not loose 50 lbs off the front from a silvia headlight conversion, you will not loose 50lbs by getting a carbon fiber hood (unless the silvia hood weighs 75+ lbs, which im sure it doesnt because i can pick mine up with ease by myself). Base model coupes weigh less than 2700, especially if they are 89-90.

You will loose about 25 lbs from a silvia conversion, and 12 lbs give or take from a carbon fiber hood. The SR weighs a little less than the KA (numbers depend i guess on weather your KA had a AC compressor, Dohc vs Sohc, weather you are using heavier cast iron stock peices with the SR or new lighter aftermarket parts, etc)

My car, with the 2 10inch subwoofer and amp box in the trunk, plus a full tank of gas, weighed in at 2860. I didn't even think to do the front / back weight split. I will check it next time I'm near the scale.

edit: I made it back to the scale.

Front: 1480 lbsRear: 1180 lbs

Total: 2660

Entire car on scale: 2700 lbs

Somewhere in the measuring front to back, I lost 40 pounds. The scale rounds to the nearest 10 pounds. Obviously, the measurement was not the most accurate in the world.

Apparently, I need to shift about 150 pounds to the rear.

The battery weighs about 150 pounds, right? :D
