i was looking over the install sheets on my snazzy new apex turbo timer, and one of the install sheets has pinout diagrams of what looks like almost every car from nissan, toyota, honda, mitsubishi, subaru, mazda, suzuki, and daihatsu

now it has a picture and shows which pins are the ground and O2 sensor, but looking at the diagram, the CA18det on the silvia, bluebird, and rb20det, rb26dett all use teh same ecu connector (and apparently pinouts)

now i seem to remember teh bluebird being front wheel configured... so it must have had electric fans

and i seem to remember the powerFC computer software had fields on one of the screens for setting primary and secondary electric fan activation temps

so the pins must exist for the silvia CA ... am i just blind, not seeing it in teh FSM, or what?

i want to get my elec fans to run without an external temp sensor (like it has now)

if noone knows, ill just have to dig more...

btw its getting close to GO time, i have all of next week off of work, and i ordered the commie-priced oil pump from topline ($180 :\ ) it should get here tuesday... so im hoping to have the engine installed and running at least by the end of the week.. might have an issue with the freeze plugs tho, kragen got me ones for an E16, hoping they fit because CA ones apparently dont existthen theres the issue of sensors that got broken in shipping...... if i can scavenge together a full set between the 2 engines ill be happy

more than likely if they do use the same connector the non FWD/AWD ECUs won't have the circuity for it. From what I've read EDM ECUs don't have the relay or driver that controls the secondary butterflies; there's a spot on the PCB but its not populated.

Apparently at least one person claimed to have found a compatible part, added it to the PCB, wired the extra pin at the harness, and flashed a JDM rom to get the secondaries working.
