Silvia s13 triple projectors not turning on

Yes, i know its been takled about before, and I searched, and I went through 6 pages, and couldnt find anything that really helped me.The bulbs are good, they are connected, THEY STILL dont turn on.Also, the windshield wipers arent working... they used to, but now they dont. I'm getting frustrated... Also, I tried to get into the online FSM that someone had in their sig, and it said the account is suspended... so im even more frustrated. ANYONE? Is there anything that could be disconnected? maybe underneath the steeringwheel area, that would make Neither the headlights OR windsheild wipers not work at the same time?any help is GREATLY appreciated. thanks a lot.

that said, you check out the windshield wiper amp for your wipers? it's the green box on the firewall.

how did you wire up the headlights?

Yeah I'd check out the harness coming from the combination switch on the steering column, that could explain why they're both going fubar.

I would have to say either fuses or a relay as well. If everything worked properly b4, then it is most likely one of the 2. Also check ground connections. 2 major ground connectors are found on the inside lower corners of the front support. Make sure these are not corroded too bad and are tight.

This is a hard problem for us to diagnose because so many silvia conversions are generally hacked in place. Unless you had a reputable shop do it or you are very good... 240 headlights are tricky in the first place due to the many function/combo switch setup from factory... A quick check can be made at the headlight harness (larger blue&red wires) for + 12v. If you have 12v or more, consider the ground side being the culprit... Check for continuity on ground side...

OK. Ive decided that something is wrong on a much more serious level than some fuses or relays or whatever else...Heres what I found when I went snooping through:I have to much wiring under my steering column area... so I trace the path of a particularly suspicious looking springy-coiled wire... up into the fusebox area. On the end is a black box. The box has many lights. They say "Blow, Wait, abort, pass, fail, etc." It is an onboard breathalyzer. I am pissed... It isnt hooked up right or something, as I dont have to blow in it to start the car... but it makes me pretty mad... I bought the car around July 25th and Im the 4th owner. I dont even think the last owner knew about it. I guess its not THAT big of a deal, but Im still pretty pissed. I'll have to get someone who knows what theyre doing to get it removed.

Problem 2: My instrument panel is fubbed too... when I pull the lever to turn on the brights, the "brights" indicator light doesnt come on... but the turn signal indicators (on each side of the brights light) do (very dim). What is going ON?!?! And this is on top of the headlights/wipers. My wiring is messed up and I feel helpless because my electrical skills/knowledge OWN me.. I HATE the electrical parts... too complicated! HELP!!!!! Calling all electrical gurus...

Uh... Ok, heres the issue: I just hooked up my corners and stuff... well the wiring is ALLLL FUBAR. I dont know whats going on, but now the corners/turn signals are on all the time, but really dimm. when I pull the lever to flash high beams, the corners/turn signals get brighter. I cant signal now, and the hazards dont work either... what the **** is going ON??? Oh yeah, also, when I have the heater/cold air fan (not a/c, just the fan) on, and I pull windsheild wipers or brights or blinkers or ANY electronics, the fan turns off. I'm freaking out cuz Im afraid my car is about to explode! I wouldnt put it past this car right now... HELP!!!!!!!!

well i got it all fixed before, it was a ground wire that wasnt connected up to the chassis. i connected it, and voila, it worked. beautifully.

well its been a while and I had taken off all my silvia parts because I was doing a white rattle can job. Finally finished after a little over a week, connect everything back up, and its all bad. ALL BAD.

The headlights arent working again, the parking lights come on, I pull brights, the parking lights get brighter. the windsheild wipers are really weak again, and dont work properly. What the hell happened? Did I screw up another ground? I checked the wire I hooked up before, its all good. Where to next? what are the other grounding points I could look for that would have been screwed with when I removed the bumper/both fenders? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
