I have heard different opinions (and we all know what opinions are like, cuz everyone has one).

What exactly is a silvia? Is it the coupe or the fastback? Or is it simply the 180sx? I referred to my car as a "Silvia" and some dude thought he would correct me by saying a fastback is not a silvia. Is this true?

The Silvia is the S13 coupe, S14 and S14-a, and the S15. The fastback is called the 180SX.

If you call a 180 a Silvia, you'll probably get *****slapped. There is a median though. A 180 with a Silvia face is a Sil-80.

there can be no opnion about what a "silvia" is. Silvia is the factory name Nissan gave to The S13 Coupe with (of course) Fixed headlights.

s13: the coupe is 'closer' to a silvia, but a silvia does NOT have pop up headlights..therefor niether is.

the 240 coupe is a silvia back half, with a 180sx front. So a silvia is a silvia, and none of the us S13's are the same

ALL silvias are RHD.

I dont think that S13 coupes as I H8 discribed were ever sold in Japan. Silvias with 180'faces were called ONEVIA.

I've only seen two Silvia's IRL. One S13, One S15

The rest were a bunch of fakes.

You know what be even weirder? If she overheard you and suggested having a threeway with "sylvia". I bet you would search the phone book pretty damn hard for a sylvia.

I wish my "Silvia" would give me road head. Then it'd be the best car in the world.

Motorex does not convert skylines to LHD, unless they have started doing so and haven't updated their site, but their site still says they do not convert them, they also state that nissan only ever made RHD skylines... so i don't know what to think of those arabs...

 there was never a LHD skyline before the current one, sold here as a G35. . That's the newest Skyline, and VERY first LHD skyline ever created by Nissan. . some crazy europeans have built previous model Skylines as LHD, but it takes a LOT of work and a LOT of fabrication (a LHD dash does NOT exist for the car). . . it was to prove nissan wrong. .

RHD cars are perfectly legal in the U.S.... I see them around all the time, as we have a Suburu / Isuzu plant here...

maybe im being too critical but i think most people wrongly name the 180sx also. the names specify the engine in them, therefore the your 240sx is a 240 because it has the ka24 engine. the 180sx in reality only should be named for the older ones which came with the ca18det. and the newer 180s or anyone who swapped an sr20det into their 240 should really be called 200sx. but thats just my thinking......

oh, and what would you call a 180 with an s-15 front end??

i said "i think" they convert skylines to LHD and they probably do for the right amount of money.
