Does anyone happen to know if the name has any meaning? I really love the look of the s14 badge and my last nae starts with S so i am considering getting it tattoo'd on my wrist. I know it seems a little bit weird to tatoo a car badge on myself but i really like it. + i figured if i grow bored of it then i can just say its my last name initial.

anyways, i would like to know if the name or symbol has any meaning behind it before i go off and mark my body with it... thanks again guys.

-Jeff

ps here is the one i am referring too

Do you plan on being a professional someday? If so, I'd recommend not getting a tattoo on your wrist - maybe your back or shoulder, or your *** would be a better choice.

SILVIA f Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, English, German, Ancient Roman, Roman MythologyFeminine form of Silvius (see SILVIO). Rhea Silvia was the mother of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome. This was also the name of a 6th-century saint, the mother of the pope Gregory the Great.

There ya go.

The drummer from blink-182 has a caddy emblem and the word tatoo'd on his back and ribs. I say if ya want to do it go for it. Its not a stupid idea, at least it means somthing to you which is better than just getting some tribal design or other meaningless tat which is what most ppl do.

No problem, I thought of this too but I think I am gonna go a different route. Maybe one of my s14... but the only place to put it is on my back and I think it will be too much with the ones already there. I dunno, I'll think of somethin'

I say you should shave your head and then tatoo it on your scalp, then grow your hair back out. Then when your father shaves your head in the middle of the night to look for "666", the mark of the beast, he can be like pheeeew thats a relief, its only a Silvia S14 emblem

I've read multiple times the name Silvia comes from Greek Mythology and was the name of a Nymph

according to the 200sx.org faq's

"According to (Nissan's) Chief Designer, Mr. Ootake, the name "Silvia" comes from Greek Mythology and was the name of a beautiful Nymph. According to Roman Mythology (which borrows from the Greek) Siliva was the mother of Romulus and Remus (By Mars) and was the daughter of King Numitor. Her uncle gave her to to the goddess Vesta. "
