Someone probably swapped the plugs on the back of the ballasts. IIRC, both lights use the same bulbs and ballasts, so it's an easy mistake

I did my conversion few weeks back. I wired headlights to the factory plug, no cut of wires was done was plug and play. High and low beams work like they should. I used my short (3 wire)wire that went to sealed beam and had plug on other side. Silvia head lights had that plug on there too, so it was a matter of plug and play. As for fog lights which are built into your headlights, I had to make my own wire harness. If you take out your battery you will notice there is a wire plug (2wire, orange and black color) and has a dummy plug. Well I went to junkyard and got that (dummy plug, but it was complete just missing terminals inside and wires) from STANZA, came off from somewhere around throttle body. Than I also bought another complete plug was like 3 wires. I went home took both plugs apart (ones I bought) took wires and terminal out of the one with 3 wires and put 2 wire/terminals into 2 wire one. Striped of insulation off of the wires and ran wires to fog light plug (plugs for fog lights came with my head lights, had like 5" of cut wire) and soldered the wires together.

But I see your fog lights work. Any way your plugs on headlights might be switched around, or may be the bulbs are switched around. I think both bulbs fit in ether hole on headlight.

Hope this helps you out some what. I did not take pictures when I did my conversion. If you need some pics of certain parts let me know I might be able to snap some pics. If my brother did not take the camera.

And by the way, I aslo changed my corners, I wired turn signals to amber part, and parking lights to white part. That's how it should be factory, I also used my Zenki "pignose" front lower turn/parking lights harness. If you notice you only have the turn signal in your bumper. I have turn signal and parking lights. I used my old bulb and plug and harness, just use the JDM housing. And its a plug and play, if you had "zenki or chuki" front does not matter they had same plugs. Your car has 3 wires allready for that.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh and by the way is one of your fog lights more yellow than other one????

Thanks, placham

Dont want to be an A$$ but, Hijacker what do you mean by ballasts. These are just regular H3 bulbs, not HID's

its not hard to fix.

there is a tech page, that will show you how to wire the fogs into the low beams. or highs.

it breaks down the wiring of the head lights and is a good overall how to.

I could't find it for you, but its out there. that will help a lot.

Yeah but if you want to use factory wiring for fogs, its all there. You just need green color relay 15amp fuse. Hook up wires to that plug around battery and hook up a switch to the connector under dash. And wala you have factory fog lights. By the way for some reason all factory fog lights only work with low beams, dont know why must be some DOT rule.

Kalypso123 good luck with your car. I like your halogen"brick" style headlights over my dual projectors. Makes car look more aggressive, but I get foglights , just cant have both I guess.

I see you have some sort of wiring problem, see what happens when you mess with factory wiring. I'm not saying it's your fault, but it's easier to find the problem when you have everything hooked-up like it was meant to be.

I will see if pop-up switch works with the foglights, I just cant get it out, dont want to crack my bezel like I did once. I will post when I check.

Until then happy motoring

haha, its not that simple. I didn't "mess" with the wiring. doing a swap takes skill, patience, and time. i am using the same harness now as the one i had before.

I wired my fogs into my low beams when I had projectors, it wasnt that hard. try switching the plugs on the back of you projectors. thats seems simple enough.

low to high / high to low ?
