yeah...

I am up in the air about what to do. Im thinking of storing her but that is pricey and I do like to drive it ocassionally. Not to mention Im already storing the Healey and the Gloria. At the present time, I turn to my fellow NICOnauts for ideas. Ideas on how to boobie trap my car for the next time they try some s***. HElp you boi out and give me some suggestions. The girl and I have already discussed the broken glass on the door handles and such, but Im looking for something diabolical so to speak. Im brainstorming and I expect at least a few of you to do the same. As of now I just put "Try it again and youre dead" in the window.

Thanks

.....and who hates the new NICO format

put sharp things where ever they touch like he said^, take anything valuable out, install a few hidden toggle switches to shut the fuel pump off etc. Leave something valuable on the dash in plain site one night and camp out hidden with a paint ball gun with marbles in it.

What are they breaking in for? They obviously haven't stolen it. Something inside getting taken?

they stole the stereo the first time. Which isnt s*** becasue it was a s*** stereo. I would have been made if it was the OEM unit though. They left the SAFC and the Bee*R and the old school HKS boost gauge thats in it. So it was some kid s***. To be sitting in that car and not try to hotwire it is beyond me, but thats me. There isnt anything in it of value. IT principle at this point.

I crappified my S13 in Germany and it never got broken into. No one was going to waste their time trying to break into something that was as ugly as my 200SX was.

Word of advice, in all my cars I have a fuel cut and electrical cut on them. They can try to hot wire my car but w/out spark and fuel, they're not getting very far.

IMO! I would get a storage Unit around your house. Or know someone with a Garage. It's getting harder to own a nice Car these days.

Totally understand. Just wasn't sure if the thieves had a specific target. I'll offer another "give her to me" as well. I've got a two car garage with only one in it, so it's all good. :yesnod

I like the whole stake out with marble loaded paint ball gun idea. Also, next 240 I get, I'm gonna make it multicolored, that way it looks like a turd beast and no one will break into it. Although my old coupe kinda looked like a turd beast and someone stole my speakers out of it...but I know who it was and he was a total fargot. He's currently in prison getting buttf*cked so I could careless. My personal advice to you, find a way to make a knife stand up and place it on the seats, that way, if they sit down, they get stabbed.

Rig up some sort of electrical system. Some kind of mat on the floor with high voltage and something attached to the car, that way when they touch it. *ZZZZZT*

I doubt it'll work, but it cured my cat problem one day. True story.

Frozen jellybeans and a wrist rocket are far more effective (and cheaper), takes more skill though.

And for you treehuggers out there, it's Earth friendly too.

install alarm. Arming alarm completes circuit on 80 amp 12 volt relay. The hot wire on the 12 volt 80 amp relay is connected to the door handles.... always remember to disarm alarm before touching the door handles

Rig several air horns under the dash triggered by pressure on the seat and deactivated by your key.

My dad was actually contemplating doing this in his F350 after it got stolen. The guy who was gonna install it told him that if they point the airhorn toward the seats it will make the thief deaf. I vote that idea!

Then, when said thief is still disoriented you run out with a baseball bat (since you would have woken up from the air horn) and beat his a**. Problem solved.

Sadly...in this moronically litigious land, you would probably get sued and/or go to jail when you pop the thief's eardrums. But oh man would it be worth it.
You could also tack HIV or Syphilis-infected needles under the door handles. Won't stop them from stealing your car but at least you'll sleep easy knowing the f*** will die a slow and painful death.

You need some of that insta-death nerve spray Bruce Willis sprays on his door handles in The Jackal.

You should install motion sensor cameras outside and install a high pitch alarm. My brother had one is his car and it was loud as hell. Or put one of this hiddenImage

just get a stupidly sensitive alarm. being awoken a couple times in the middle of the night for wind touching your car might suck but at least it'll give you peace of mind.
