Hey i am doing the silvia front end conversion on my car and i'm buy the parts one at a time. i got the headlights, Bumper and Fenders and i'm currently waiting on a hood. I didnt get a stock silvia bumper instead i got a Bomex front bumper but i wasnt thinking at the time and now i'm unsure if i can use my current bumper support to put on my bumper. If i can't does anyone know where i can get a bumper support that will work?

not sure about the bumper support, but you're gonna need new headlight brackets in that mix as well. the 240 brackets are shaped wrong.

You will probably have to throw away the support. I had to on mine and on all that we had done.

Im doing the same thing, and i was told you need to shave off the tabs that connect the front half of the bumper support to the back half. (That boxy thing that the front parking lights are wired through) So you cant use the foam from the silvia bumper, the 240 support will touch the inside of the silvia's plastic directly.

You can use the bumper support..you might have to do a lil cutting and i dont think you can can use the foam, well i didnt..but i have a TBO bumper, and if you plan on drifting dont bolt it on..all you need is 2 zipties where it wraps around the wheel well and it'll just pop off if you hit a curb

bumperfoam is the styrofoam they put inbetween the support and the actual bumper itself. You cannot use it because the american support sticks out all the way into the square impact point on the bumper.Effortless's idea is not sound for many reasons. Dont attach your bumper or fenders with zipties cause you are liable to hit a curb and drag that suker all over the ground.

Nope dont have any gaps but i dont know if theres a difference between japanese and american bumper supports...as for the zipties, thats from a drifters point of view...i'd rather scuff up the bottom of my bumper by dragging it then smashing it into pieces

its for use in a high speed frontal hit.You hit with out the foam and whoops your dented in anyway, ties or not.

Not my cup of tea. Besides you have to be good enough to avoid those hits anyway.

you can use expanding foam from the hardware store to fill in the gaps...
