Silvia, 240, 180?????

I'm kinda confused on something. I"m not sure what to search for as far as parts, do i search for 240 parts 180 parts or silvia parts? the 240 is essentially the USDM version of the JDM 180 right? and everything on the 180 except for of course the body styling is the same as the Silvia right? If anyone can help with this it'll be a huge help, i'm not sure if I buy parts that say they are for a silvia or 180 if they'd fit on the 240...Thanks

180sx = '89 - '93 240sx fastback (hatchback)silvia = 240sx coupe

this is in body style only. do some searching for each of these cars, you'll eventually learn the differences.

180sx's are still manufactured, or were still manufactured untill 1998...or something of that nature...i read on here

I've never seen the coupes around, ever.. are they hard to come by? and I plan on getting mainly suspension for now, i'm going to drop an SR 20 from an S14 in, so for that I would search for silvia parts right? By anychance does anybody know where i can get a cheap silvia front end conversion kit for the S13, I checked around and the cheapest i could find was about a grand. If u guys know of something cheaper please let me know, and thanks again for the help.

poly, buddy gather your thoughts and information and combine them into a Setence we can understand. from the given info I THINK you have an S13 coupe and want suspension parts, correct? You can easily got to the Suspension forum and have a numerous of links at your disposile.

yeah dude, you should slow down and make sure you learn more about what you want cuz it sounds like you are a little confused about whats what. my origonal post was meant to be very general to separate what a 180sx and a silvia is. s13 silvia front ends I've seen go for around a grand. you gotta remember thats headlights, hood, fenders, bumper, and everything else needed to mount that stuff. I see a lot more hatchbacks around here than coupes, don't know why that is tho. I'd say, figure out what car you want/have and from there research what motors will work best with it. then worry about a front end conversion. the search button on this page will help you out a lot. google works nice too. Maybe even play gran turismo.

wow kids nowadays dont even know what kinda nissan they own but they know that they want to drop a s14 Sr20det into it !!! you want to shop for 240sx parts since after all thats the car you own!!! once you learn more about the car other then you can put in a sr then you can look into motor swaps and other parts from other versions of the 240 like the 180sx ans silvias !

what i was meaning to say will parts manufactured for a silvia work on a 240, and are they of better quality than parts made for the 240. And I do know what kind of car I have, I was just curious as to the major differences between the 3 cars is all. I apologize for how fragmented my previous post was. If this one makes sense, first please let me know....Thanks again
