I heard that Non-HID Xenon Headlight bulbs are a rip off due to a small amount of xenon gas that has virtually no effect on the strength of the light. Would any of you recommend the Silverstar Ultras by Sylvania?? Are they easy to install?

Easy to install. As simple as changing a headlight. Nothing else.

Silverstar ultras are suppose to last a lot longer than the regular silverstars. The regular silverstars only last about 6-10 months.

Yep, it's no different than changing to another non-Silverstar headlight.

I switched from Silverstars from Ultras last time I changed out my headlights. The ultras have lasted MUCH longer than standard Silverstars have ever lasted for me.

EDIT:This thread is cursed! I just pulled into my parking spot and noticed I left my headlights on...and one is out.

I had the standard Silverstars in my old G20...they lasted me almost two years.

Luminics seem to put out more light than the Silverstars or the Halos, BUT their longevity is questionable.

One of my low beams died at around 8 months. I started driving around with my Highs on and after a month or so, that melted the harness.

They were gorgeous though!
