Silver / Reflective Tape on Cooling Fan

Hi all,

New here and I tried to search on my question, but couldn't find an answer. Just picked up a 2006 QX56 and noticed that there is about 4 pieces of silver tape stuck on what looks like a cooling fan in front of the radiator behind the grill below the front bumper. Any thoughts what this isfor and if it should be there? Two of the pieces came off without effort, but the other two seems to be wedge in there tightly.

That reflective tape was part of a recall that was performed to prevent heat damage to the fan. Should not have removed that stuff.
