I've been running around with 400whp/392ftlbs @ only 16lbs for about 2 weeks now ever since getting the car back together post dyno blow. :) Anyway, I have two BOV's as most of you know, but the HKS unit pre-intercooler side has 2 vacuum ports (see lower left of pic below). I have the top port hosed to my vacuum lines ... I've never had the bottom port connected. Should this be fed back into the same vacuum lines??

Also, the car has had some idle issues whereas I believe the BOV is not closing soon enough, but some have told me to play with the carbon values in the e-Manage's settings. I'm still working at adjusting the BOV's properly. Any tips are welcome. Thanks!

PS - Oh damn this car is fun ... ran a Mustang GT into the ground two nights ago ... I think he got scared during my first and second shifts ... PSSSSFFTT!! ;)

yeah you can run one side to vaccuum and one side to boost, its called like "boost assist" and its supposed to make the valve open sooner, but it also encourages it to leak. Just tee the two together to vacuum.

I was also thinking about the anti-stall program settings in e-Manage to help my idle. Problem is, I never bought the support tool software ... anyone got a bootleg copy?? :D

If connecting one to boost and one to vacuum is to allow the BOV to open sooner... wouldn't connecting both to vacuum be the opposite? Hence not allowing it to open at all? I think one of the two should be left to atmosphere.

Yes, and thank-you. I just finished talking to my ex-shop manager who also stated to leave it to atmosphere. Hehe, I guess I'm just one of those individuals who never likes to second chance anything ... aka perfectionist. :D

scotty, agreed. Either hook up the bottom port to a boost source(hot pipe, cold pipe, etc) or leave them wide open. It can help boost reaction a little bit but I wouldnt be too worried about it.Also, check your email.

No, not yet. My job is too demanding as I work evenings and every Saturday; plus the nearest track is 88 miles away (Moroso). Can't make it there in time on test-n-tune nights (Wed and Fri). :(

no, you tee them together to the vaccuum. I have a pair of HKS valves just like that. In fact, when they were removed from the car they came off of they just cut the vaccuum lines, they came to me still tee'd together.

Thanks, but I bought a copy since I needed the USB cord as well. Mucho props to No Limit Motorsport for their honesty and promptness ... paid for 3 day shipping, got overnighted :D .

so is that working for you with one on vaccuum and one just open? cause I was told by a couple people that run this bov, to leave them the way that mine were, with both tee'd to vaccuum.
