Is generic silicone spray an acceptable replacement for Wurth to condition the suspension rubber pieces ? I've never found a source for Wurth, just read about it on the old forum.

Brake fluid is good with rubber. Apply with a squirt bottle, just don't get it on the paint.

BMW has a special product for rubber parts, I think the name was Gumminflagen or something like that, it was like a clear paste which lasted FOREVER on seals and rubber items. I've been using it for a while and I've tried to figure out the exact name, but it's really smudged and I can't quite tell.

Never heard of brake fluid, what's the idea behind it?

Anything you spray on won't last forever.

I used a bunch of synthetic grease on my suspension last winter and it did clear up all the squeaks. But it's messy (and no fun to work on). But I'm not in the mood to do any major suspension rehab for a while.

My driver side upper link is squeaking when it's very cold. Very little play in it, so I won't replace it anytime soon. But do squirt it with silicone and it helps for a few days at best.

Only problem with heavy grease is that dirt and sand stick to it.
