Well, I know it sounds weird, and I'll probably get told to do what I want, but what do you guys think about building a N/A KA to put in a Sileighty? I know it sounds weird, but I'm not good at saving up large chunks of change to go and buy a SR20, and it will be Fall before I can afford that... I can build a KA little by little, and I have done this before on a 4AGE, with Quad throttle bodies and all... only thing is... do you guys think its kinda "wrong" to have a Sileighty not being pushed by a turbo?

Honestly, I'm wanting around 250HP out of this, which might be above the KA24E's ability without crazy cash, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought about this... building N/A non-4AGEs seems a little too USDM for a sileighty

I didnt know that an N/A Ka was capable of 250, i've only heard arguements ranging near 200. Why don't you build youself a custom kit like me, and boost the KA, especially if its rebuilt you will have no problem.

Well, its not a matter of KA vs SR20 I guess.... its NA vs Boost... If I want boost, I'll for sure go CA18DET or SR20DET. Custom kits, while obtainable for less than a grand on the KA, isn't the best route for forced induction in a 240... I like the KA, big time displacement and all is nice, but I either want big NA power out of it or to scrap it... I just miss my old rev-happy 4age

Those trucks from the off-road racing series, the nissan ones, use NA Ka's. I hear on average they make around 350hp. Due to rules they must use 4 bangers in that class, no forced induction allowed. Might be something to look into

another option would be to build up a sr20ve...it would be a very nice all motor engine.

well if you dont wanna ahve to wait till fall to finish then you already answered your question. do NA ka and have fun. it may not be as JDM tyte as you may want to portray it, but its your car and your style and decision. im just doing a small bolt on build for mine and ill be fine. id rather put it into suspension and reliability.good luck_Chris
