I finally got it running(woot!) , but I noticed I have a coolant leak coming out of where the intake manifold meets with the head. Did anyone use silicone on the manifold gasket? I'm so mad, I don't want to have to take the manifold off, it's a leak that gets pretty small after it warms up and the thermostat opens. so I 'm thining about using a decent leak stop, a chemical one not a aluminum one. but it I do take the manifold back off, I'm wondering if I have to silicone the whole thing, or just that part?

the stupid part, is my thermostat gasket has no leak, and I didn't use silicone there.

yeah, i agree, hydrolocking an engine isnt my idea of fun city. i absolutely adore RTV silicon, so i use it whenever possible. it cant hurt, so you might as well silicon the whole thing. on a side note, mine doesnt leak and i am not using any silicon.

kinda funny, after driving around the last night and checking it today, it doesn't leak there anymore, but it seems to be coming outta the W/P a ltiile bit, go figure.

and that one is siliconed, and Ididn't put it on, it came witha new one already on.
