Watch out with those things. I busted my friends lock mechanism trying to open his door with one of those doodads about 4 years ago.

:owned by the slim jim.

Haha, nice...

I am proud to say that in the 2 years I've owned a car, I've never once locked my keys in it. :D

Why slim jim? 240's have frameless windows, feed a coat hanger in from the rear of the driver or passenger side window, the foam compresses.

Oh man I've locked my keys in my car millions of times, thats why I keep a spare in my wallet :) but last halloween I left my wallet in my car cuase my costume didnt' have pockets so I was screwed. It took me a while but this is what I did...since the s13 windows not connected to the rest of the door on the top or sides, I un-did a coat hanger and bent a little hook on the end, I slid it in the side of the window and bent it around until the hook would reach the lock, since the locks inside are sideways I just hooked it and pulled, wahlah door is open ;)

I locked my keys in my car twice. Once I did the hanger trick. The second time we were there for like 1/2 and hour....the hanger wasn't long enough (of course). But this hot *** girls walks over and is like...."I've got a slim jim in my car" so we try that for half and hour and no one gets it....finally AAA gets there and they slim jim the other door.

Ends up I popped both of the metal bars off the locks, so neither one locked/unlocked....Luckily I have a base model and no stupid power locks, so I just stuck the bars back in their little holes. Pain in the *** though, I'll never do that again (hopefully). The worst part was that I was trying to get my trunk closed and I dropped them in there, and thats how I got locked out in the first place. So I'm sitting in my back seat (which has no "seats") and I'm squeezing half of my body through the little hole reaching in the dark for my keys....

Its funny now that I think about it. It sucked at the time.

I locked my keys in my old truck once, but it was a REALLY old ****ty truck, and teh sliding glass window on the back of the cab didn't even have a lock. So I just stuck my hand in and unlocked the door. LOL. Ever since then, I'm OBSESSED with not locking them in. I haven't since then, which is about 2 years or so.

Nick.
