Any symptoms of a weak PTU? I can either have no power under load and a great idle with plugs gapped at .030, or a poor idle and no breakup/bogging down under load with plugs at .023. New aftermarket Q45 coils made no difference.

Have you checked any other parts of the ignition system?
Some Nissan engines hate certain plugs. NGK usually rules all when it comes to a Nissan application. If you're not using them, grab a set.
How old are the wires?
Do you have a custom tune or a stand alone ecu? You may have a fueling problem, or possibly a vacuum leak somewhere.

Spray some carb cleaner around any and all vacuum hoses (one by one) and listen for the engine to rev up. If it does, spray again and isolate the area and potential hose. Replace it and see if a difference is made.

I've got NGK OE plugs in. stock everything but the intercooler. One boost leak at the throttle body shaft over 5psi. Gauge reads a hair under 20 inches of vacuum.
