Ok, here's another one. I was just out driving the Z around the neighborhood and it seems that there is a little lag between when I let off of the clutch and when it catches. Also when I hit it hard it seems to really catch completely. I'm afraid to ask but is my clutch about gone? I'm obviously going to have to upgrade. How much is this going to set me back? Damn I shouldn't have bought the new wheels and tires. thanks

From your description, it sounds like the clutch is going bad. How many miles do you have on your clutch?

An upgraded clutch will cost you anywhere between $350-$550, depending on the level you want.

hey i had the same problem with my old clutch and my new clutch i just installed a stage 2 competition clutch and after driving it for a while about 15 minutes it would free rev before it would go and when it went it was slow. i took it to kr motorsports and he adjusted the clutch pedal and clutch cylinder then it went like new. it might have been because the previous owner of the car did not know what he was doing. if you do have a old clutch it will slip really bad when your going, your rpms will climb fast and if its really bad and you will get no where. try adjusting the clutch pedel and cylinder before you buy a new clutch because clutches are expensive and they take a while to put in. but depending on how many miles you have, you might need a new clutch. thats just my 20 cents.

sorry about the smilies i just thought they were too cool so i had to use them.

Fiqured it out. I just had to adjust the clutch pedal. Then all of a sudden I couldn't get the car to go into gear. Come to find out though my slave cylinder was bad. Completely came apart when I pulled it out. Replaced it and everything is good to good. dodged the bullet this time. thanks
