i have an s14 with non-abs vlsd. i was driving on the highway and the car jerked hard with a big clunky noise from the back. kinda like a big thud noise. this quick jerking occurs pretty often. what could it be. my only theory is the vlsd...

yea that would be my guess. Whats gonna happen is , your gonne be driving along laa laa la laa big dumb grin on your face. The next thing you now your gonna have a death grip on the steering wheel, eyes bugging out of you head , posibly screaming OH GOD I AM GONNA DIE, your pants will become very full as you crap all over yourself , While your rear wheels have come to a complete stop at 70mph , tires will bescreeching the worst imaginable sound you have ever heard , the rear end is going to be swaying all over the road till you some how manage to keep the car from creaming into oncoming freeway traffic and bring it to a complete hold on the middle of the freeway. I just hope there isnt a semi right behind you, well in your back seat since he cant stop in time.

Scary huh? You have a serious rear diff problem stop driving the car and get it fixed.
