Anyone seen this car?? it's setup..... looks cool!! Loved the way they mounted the rad and IC.. and i'm now thinking of doing the same with my IC...... But will it get enough cooling?? I was thinking to put my IC a little bit on its side between the engine and rad. IT's the V-mount system but only my IC i'll be putting like that and the rad in it's original place. OR do I need to put both in V-mount to get the performance??

Electric fans are a given with a v-mount setup and ducting would be the most important factor in cooling. It is essential to channel the air directly to the radiator/ intercooler by blocking off any other paths it could take as the efficiency of the radiator is greatly reduced when not placed perpendicular to airflow. / as opposed to l A vented hood is a must as well.

a buddy of mine has a V mount on his s13. its actually not that hard to do.. just gotta be half way intelligent. it has helped his spool up time tremendously. he reaches boost much faster. only hard part was venting his hood.. but he just bought longer bolts and put like 5 nuts on each both to raise the back of the hood. i think its the only v mount s13 redtop in indiana.. that i know of.

because at those angle's and the amount of air that you are pushing through the engine bay venting the back of your hood is a good quick fix. especially if you dont have the money for an actual vented hood. dont get me wrong its not a permanent fix.. but hey, it worked for him.
