It has been a couple months without signal lights, but i need them to fixed and I do not know what the problem is. The fuse is fine, but every time i try to make the lights work nothing happens on the instrument panel or on the light itself.

when they started to go they would work when i first started the car then when i played with the signal switch a bit, but now nothing. I suspect it might be the relay, but i don't know where that is or what it looks like. Any help at all would be appreciated, its a 98 qx4......thanks!

most likely is. Have youtried the hazards? any response? the Relay is under the dash its like bolted on in there against a frame. Ill try to get a picture for you. I removed mine and replaced with an LED flasher relay to stop it from doing the bulb out warning.

i can describe it to you right now seeing as im at work.

Basically if you take off the underside of your dash (the thing under your steering) that will help a hole bunch but not necessary.

http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm << scroll down slightly, the part i used is second from the right. (will state for nissans)

If your hands are small you can reach up there and feel around for the relay unplug the harness and plug the new one in and you can simply let it hang.

EDIT :: considering youre getting no response whatsover and fuses are intact, it most likely is a blown relay.

The hazard switch being dead is also a possibility. If the hazard switch is not plugged in and functional, your turn signals don't work. I would go to a junkyard and get any R50 hazard switch, plug it in, and see if it resolves the problem.

^^^^ above post ^^^^

that totally slipped my mind. If your hazard has been unplugged it will render your signals useless. So pop the top vent and unscrew the bottom trim and take a look before buying anything

See here if you would like a picture guide on taking apart the dash trim. It's fairly straightforward. And welcome to NICO! :)

I bought clear corners for my Pathfinder and I purchased amber LED turn signals, would this relay under the dash be the one that I need to replace for the bulb out fast flash? And would this LED flasher be the same pin configuration? http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... JL-02.html

This one is recommended for "Japanese vehicles"

thanks
