Hi i have a 95 240 with rb25 swap. Yesterday i ran nissan consults diagnostic test and i got a code 54 Signal circuit from automatic transmission> Car started 0 times with this fault. Does anyone know what this problem could be? Also my speedometer and tach on the dash doesnt work. But on my laptop the tach works but speedometer still doesnt. Anyone have a clue?

Sounds like you have a auto ecu vs a 5speed one. That problem is easly fixed tho I just forget which wire your suppose to ground. Who did your wiring? maybe you should contact them about your spedo and tach not working.

The guy i bought it off did the wiring. So your saying theres a wire i need to ground out to get it to work?

and that code will never go away no matter what wire you ground. the grounded wire is just for more accurate timing. you will never get that code to go away with that ECU. the car will run fine, but always have that code.

what kind of gauge cluster are you using?

The gauge cluster is a stock 240 one. Everything works on it but tach and speedometer. And on my laptop using consult tach works but speedometer still doesnt.

Also meant to add i dont have reverse lights. Which would make sense if it was a auto ecu. Anyone know how to fix that?

Still have yet to figure out why my gauge cluster isnt working. I check and the wires are hooked to the transmission. I did find out it was an auto ecu. I also pulled the gauge cluster out to make sure it was all hooked up and it is. Can anyone help me as to why my speedometer doesnt work?
