Part it out, I already have a list for you... lollaw abidn wrote:Unfortunatly no pic of yet, but they will be coming.
Here is the story.... I just bought my firs thouse and came acrossed this on craigslist the same week. 93 Q that was a stolen recovery, guy didnt want to mess with it..... has to go.
So I go and look at it. It came from Pa from a salvage yard. Stolen recovery, they took the steering column and pryed on the hood and trunk.
Appariently as it sat at the salvage yard the accessories, a/c compressor, p/s pump, fan + shroud, belt tensioner, wiper motor and radio (including the Fking wiring harness) were sold/taken. As a matter of fact, the engine is covered in the red plastic plugs in the coolant hoses (the ones you normally see when you buy a used engine from a big company) so it all makes sense.
Aside from the pry marks on the 1/4 panels, the car is in remarkable shape. It has ONE door ding! and all original paint (silver). I stuck my face under the car and saw the trans harness cut also. booo
I didnt get it with a title, but its not hard here in Va to get a "abandonment title"..... But I wanna build a Z32 5-speed Q. The only thing Im worried about is the mileage..... I know it sounds weird but when you normally beat on a low mileage never driven car.... things break. I"m almost tempted to part this out or sell it as a whole and buy a 150k 90-94 Q.
Im a mechanic by trade so I dont mind working on it but so much, and I have a garage too.....
I dunno, normally when I have a iffy feeling I'm right. But having a 34k old Q would be great too!
btw, its a silver on grey leather (with spoiler) TCS non activ suspen
Any Input?-corey

Well its been off the road for almost 10 years and the tires are 13 year old dunlops with full tread (though with severe dry rot) but I havent run a carfax so anything is possible.elwesso wrote:Yeah its not worth keeping. Also something to consider is that sometimes Q odometers do stop working so I doubt it has 34k miles, although it is truly possible...
With all the running Q available cheap, I wouldnt try and piece this one back together... Its a nice car, but not a car worth dealing with that much crap.. but certainly would have some great parts.
Essentialyl you'd need to get 2 cars to make 1 working one
A lot of 1994 is quite different from 1993. Be sure to read FSM and here to understand what changed.law abidn wrote:
I think I'm going to build this thing (the Q) as there is a 94 Q at the next richmond city auction..... prob be able to pick it up for 3-400. DONT ANY OF YOU BASTARDS TRY AND BUY IT!!! lol
All I want is some of the AC, PS, and such that was taken from the salvage yard. that should be the same right? I"m not using any body parts... well maybe the trunk panelmaxnix wrote:A lot of 1994 is quite different from 1993. Be sure to read FSM and here to understand what changed.
Should I part it out, I'll let you know!Q451990 wrote:Wow... what a shame. I can't believe it sat in a salvage yard that long and still has seats in that nice of condition! If you part it out I would be very interested in buying the seat cushions (too expensive to ship with the rails) to have for spares

As previously stated, there is much different from 93 - 94. You'd probably be better off looking for 90-93. The AC compressor is different with one pulley being larger than the other.law abidn wrote:

BTW< its a Q45A in blue, anyone need parts for that?
