Let me ask you a question? If the car runs fine and you are done paying it off. Why not leave it where it's at now and just drive it. I was in the exact same bind as you, I am currently 23. I got out of the Military got divorced not my choice heh. I finished my KA-T had a 8k credit card bill. I went out bought a house put the credit card towards the house loan. And now I work full time, and Im a Part time student finishing up my degree, and have the car of my dreams with no car payment. And reliable too.

The Bad:- Has a slight rod knock at 3k (might be a spun bearing. I will be taking the oil pan off in the next few days to check teh bearings. Might even change em)

School is paramount now, I just spend loads over christmas and on the family for vacation, I have school bills, and a credit card bill I want to get rid of before school comes into full swing. This car has been babied by myself, driven less than 1500miles in the last 6 months. Been covered up most of the time. But, I realize I am just throwing way too much money right now, and for my situation, its not a very good idea (full time engineering student, about to move out, and I already have a daily grind, for now atleast).

I already have another car thats already payed off, gets fantastic gas mileage, I can leave her anywhere and not give a damn, AND I am a fulltime college student. The last thing I need right now is a car that I know I will dump ungodly amounts of money into. Not a good idea.

When I am done school and I have my degree, I can always buy 3 CA, 2 240 and throw them into my 5 car garage and spend whatever I want because I have a stable engineering job, get huge amounts of money from my job and a nice house. I dont have all that right now and another distraction (the car) is not a very good idea right now. I had a car payment and I will never get one again while I am in school. You have to pay it and if your late and owe a measley 1 dollar, they can come a reposes the car. Not worth it right now
