Ok so I'm in the process of developing a new prototype project. So I have this idea to have a sidemarker made in the shape of the Nissan logo.I am still working on developing this idea so since I am a very visual person I took a badge I had jus laying round and thought I'd tape it to various locations to see what it would look like and where it would fit best.Im pretty set one the logo shape but I'm not sure bout the size or if I should replace the Nissan name with something else.Well out of all the spots I'm really feeling this one so I setup a poll but I'm also open to suggestions and comments.

Reminds me of the Ford HD edition.

i couldnt even tell what you were talking about at first, i thought you meant sidemarker lights. So i guess it looks more subtle than most, but im used to seeing "22" and "DUB" tacked on to just about any type of car around here. i was gonna say, this is how I would want to do it:

Yeah I kinda got the idea from the Harley Davidson Ford, BMW Z4, and the 350Z.Right now this is jus a mock-up but my hope is to get to the point where it lights up and blinks with the turn signals. From the looks of it not many ppl aren't feeling this guess that jus means I cant make money if i was was to go into production with it I do want ppl to continue to take the poll, ask questions and offer constructive criticism.

I don't see how placing the badge there is a prototype or much of a project. But it doesn't look bad.

Courtesyparts has the orange side markers in their diagram with the part number and such, but you can't click on the part number. I wonder if they can order it.

Here's a link to the Courtesyparts diagram... http://www.courtesyparts.com/p....html

Thank you right now this is jus a mock-up but my hope is to get to the point where it lights up and blinks with the turn signals like on the BMW Z4.Since i've never done this before i foresee the hard part for me is to run the wires for the light and to do what i want without fring my electrical system

You glued a premade badge tot he side of your car.. but thats prototype??

So if I peed on my desk, would it be a prototype deck??

If I glued gummy worms to my tires, would that be a prototype tire??

You may want to reread the entire thread and check the definition of mock-up and prototype. If you was unclear about my posting most intelligent adults would ask questions Rather than expressing there dislike for homosexuals like someone with the mentality equal to to a child between eight and twelve years old.I don't consider myself thin skinned, I more than welcome constructive criticism and any advise anyone may have to offer to help me achieve my goals but what is this ?

Is this really the words of someone who considers them self an adult of 27 years of age. Why did you even waste your time and mine by posting something so juvenile... everyone is entitled to there opinion but really you could have just answered the poll and called it a day.

Is it just me or are there a hell of a lot of douche nozzles joining this forum lately and providing useless comments. N2mesnob....It looks good I don't see whats so wrong with it. If it said nissan in three places or something that would be dumb but there is no other badging and as long as you cant see the lights you add i think it will look great.

This forum needs more pre-96 model pathys, i like to see what can be done with the older ones so keep your ideas coming, people will give their honest opinions but don't be discouraged.

I personally like the blinker fueler shows, my parents land rover has that and its awesome, clean, orange, and I see it reflect off the ground when turning i feel so high class when i drive that thing...probably because its a land rover lol. Throw a blue or a white one on then its just tacky lol

Thanks Qxxx4So you think when I light it up it should be orange or amber?I was thinking of using an LED set-up to light it up.I know I didn't mention it before cuz no one ask or really seemed to like the idea but the plan is to put a acrylic backing on the badge and light up the acrylic using LEDs which is partly why I called it a prototype cuz I don't know of anyone else doing this so basically I’m working from scratch and imagination

Since this is a prototype/project ill throw my thoughts out there.

I agree with the guys on the orange but if your going for LEDs than maybe white.

for the actual flasher it would be nice if you could get "NISSAN" to flash or the areas I pointed to in the pic.

good luck accessing the backside of the fender there, without completely removing it.

No, it's not just you. I'm thinking the same thing.

As for the modification, I have to say sorry, but I'm not feelin' it.Doesn't mean you shouldn't do it though. I'd still be interested in seeing the final outcome.

I will have to go with QXXX4 on this one. It looks good and since there isn't like 3 or 4 Nissan emblems I don't see a problem with it.
