Well I just threw this together to make sure fitment was good and thought I would share. I have a plan for it just don't know how long it is going to take to get it all figured out and working. Hopefully when it gets down to the good stuff the big guns of the CA world can help me out (themadscientist found some stuff for me already). Here is a teaser pic, again just put together to make sure everything was okay. Those are Solex carbs made by Mikuni and don't ask me why a JDM head made its way into the 4 port world but luckily I have one for this setup.

R34 gtr you said you would pull out your wallet when you saw these pics so how much you got

oh yes, so it begins. You must get huge Tomei cams and solid lifter with much light Toda flywheel.

I had seen one before but could never find out exactly who made the ****in thing. Is there a company name on there so I can see if they still make em?I found this vid. It's cool for two reasons.first I love seing a Honda Fit make an NSX sweat in the corners. I detest NSXs.And the sound inside sounds exactly like my old Silvia with the stripped interior and CA18DE! People asked me why the DE but when you hear that screaming motor I think you will agree it is music to the ears.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-9-xhi_wZw

Do those carbs share mounting configuration with webber dcoe's and dellorto dhla's?

I would totally rock that on a de with some crazy cams, header and lightweight flywheel...

I will have to look closer at them to see who makes them but I don't think there is a name on there. Also the Solex/Mikuni do mount the same as the weber carbs.

I will start picking up the stuff to rebuild the motor and get it back together. After I come back from Okinawa the hunt for a shell to put this thing in will begin and getting the new garage will start.

TMS I am thinking hard about those high comp pistons though and have already emailed the guy who had them.

I don't know how long this thing is going to take. I might have bitten off more than I can chew with this setup but I will give it a whirl and see just how far I can take it. Getting all the necessary rebuild parts, and finding an old school opel to throw this thing in will be next. Plus my wife's 4wd Civic Wagon will be getting overhauled when we get back.

This was made for the 8 port and not a modified mani. I got lucky and found an 8 port here in Germany (don't know why an 8 port made its way here).

themadscientist: I looked it over real good and there are no markings on it.

dammit! For a maximum effort CA18DE the four-port head would be better.

Yeah the 4 port would be great but what can you do? As ca18datsun510 said it isnt something you come across everyday so 8 port 4 port I will give it a go and see what I can do.

I sent you an email but as of right now just not ready yet. After the trip to Okinawa and some discussions with some local tuners might just change my mind though. I am talking to a very good friend of mine who runs a tuning shop what the best course of action is. Motor swaps here are common but not swaps from one company to another (nissan to opel or vice versa) so during these planning stages we will decide what course of action to take.
