Just looking for some opinions..

Thinking of either getting the factory Aero kit side sills, or adding the factory splash guards to my existing sills.

Of course the warning is there that the splash guards are incompatible with the Aero sills, unfortunately.

So:

Do how much difference is there really between the stock sills and the Aeros? Looks like a bit more flare and taper over the length of the sill but that's it.

Anyone prefer the stock sills with the splash guards?

And..does anyone make splash guards compatible with the Aero sills?

Thanks

I think that the aero and sport sills are the same. My sport has splash guards so I would think that they are the same.

Good luck

I spoke to someone that has a aero equipped car and he said that the guards don't fit the front. Not sure if there are different ones for that application.

I looked at this pretty hard a few months ago, looking at as many photos as I could find online. I had the side sills (and front and rear bottom lips) on my M35X and really liked the look. But in the end, the right choice for me on my M37x is the splash guards vs the side sills. I found them, OEM and the right color, on eBay, bought them, and plan to install in the spring.

My thoughts and observations:
- on the M35, the sills were part of an aero kit with front and rear chin spoilers, pricey but not unaffordable
- on the M37, the entire front and rear bumper cover are part of the whole kit, really expensive to go all the way
- the M37 stock side sills have shape and detailing that the M35 didn't
- the M37 is overall curvier, and the splash guards complement that shape
- as mentioned by others, you could still use the rear splash guards with the aero side sills and stock rear bumper.
- if I could afford it, I would do the whole kit. but it's just too much for me right now
- I could only go off of photos, as M37/65 cars are pretty scarce around here, and I've never seen the aero/sport sills in person

As always, YMMV. John A

I was assumed that as well, but when I was in the process of purchasing splash guards for my car that has the aero package, it warns that the front set wull not work with aero package equipped cars.

Yeah when I was mounting the rear splash guards that went without a hitch. The front on the other hand would not fit the contour of the Aero sideskirts.

Aero sills are not the same. I put them on my 15 Q70S and now on my 18 Q70S. In fact its the first thing I buy. Then Strut bar, spacers, swap the run flats, full LEDs inside...lol The only caveat is that with the stock 20s the aero sills are more aggressive, so you need the wheels pushed out a bit or they look even more tucked. And they get dirtier. lol

Front splash guards do not fit the the rears line up perfectly.
