Probably already know the answer here, but I have a 2011 coupe, and I'd like to upgrade the side mirrors to the ones with the turn signal light. I don't currently have them, so I am wondering if I am kind of screwed out of being able to upgrade them in this manner. Anyone have some good advice here?

They won't be plug-and-play because the wiring won't be present in the Door harnesses, but there's no reason it can't be done if you route a single wire through each door umbilical. You can T-tap ground off the power window switches. Here's the wiring diagram for the factory setup, page EXL-141:

Because there's a splice, chances are the wire will be present in M12 and M15 but absent on the door side of the connector D2 and D102. I'd advise using fine strand "super flex" wire through the umbilicals, remember that the wires need to bend every time the door opens and closes.

Not really. All you're actually concerned with is adding these two connections and providing a ground.

That said, if you can't read a wiring diagram and don't want to learn, it's probably best left to a professional.
