side mount intercooler question

ok im a little confused. where is the stock bov? is it near the side mount? also where does the stock bov recirculate to on stock piping? is it hotpipe, coldpipe or intakepipe?

Yes. The piping includes the BOV. Have you not seen one?

The stock BOV is mounted on the sidemount. It recirculates to the 1" port on the rubber intake.

ok i got 2 different answers on the bov. so the bov recirculates to the intake right after the MAF? so if i use a aftermarket hotpipe i can still recirculate?

Well, you got 2 different answers that state the same thing. The stock blowoff is mounted on a pipe that is braced and plumbed right on the intercooler. As long has your intake pipe has a bung for an air hose after the mass airflow sensor, you can recirculate, regardless of where your blowoff valve is.

By the way, the stock blow off valve sucks.

Well on an s13 its right by the SMIC. But on the s14 the rec. valve in connected to the cool pipe just before the throttle body.

im using type s right now with the smic. i cut off the stock bov flange and welded it shut.
