Side Mirrors always dirty!

I have a 93 240 coupe and the side mirrors are always dirty, no matter how much i clean them. i think they might be oxidized. Does any1 else have this problem or know how to fix it? hopefully without replacing the mirrors.

i mean the actual mirrors...i could care less about the housing
