Side mirror is gone

I left my car at my friends house for a month since i was away. When i came back my driver side mirror was dangling from the metal spring. I was pissed cause i think it was one of the neighborhood kids who did it. there was also a dent on the door looks like from a bicycle......

anyways is it rice to get aftermarket mirrors or should i just try to get it fixed. It looks fixable by a body shop

Post a picture if you can, I took off the mirror clean off a GMC Jimmy once and the way it came off, it couldn't be reattached. Look at the screws that hold it in, you could probably pick up a nice replacement from a junkyard.

Also, please whatever you do, don't get aero-mirrors! Those things are hideous!
