Side mirror glass replacement?

Has anyone here had to replace the mirror inside the molding on a 2001 Pathfinder? My mirror got clipped a while ago and the glass shattered. I just got a a mirror assembly from the wreckers and I'm trying to figure out how the mirror glass comes out of the molding. I've tried a bit of force to just pop it out but it doesn't seem to want to come out.

Is it glued in there or do I just need to use more force? I'm scared I might break the replacement mirror trying to get it out of the molding.

Finally got it to pop off. It is stuck on with some sort of white putty as well as being clipped on.

For future searches seeing as I couldn't find much info when I searched you need to point the mirror all the way up and then lift from the bottom. The bottom part unclips then the top part of mounting plate unhooks. Then you unplug the heater wire.

This link is for a later model Pathy but works just fine for a 2001.
