I found this diy article ( http://www.6mt.net/mod-g35-sidemarker.php ) for a G35, that involves splicing the side marker into the flasher. According to the author, the side markers still function normally with the park/headlights. does anyone know if this is possible with the QX4? I can't see why it wouldn't work, but that's why I'm asking you genius's here at nico. Not sure how important this is but my side markers are led, so they shouldn't impact the load on the flasher circuit.

I did this on my already gone 96 Maxima. Got this info from maxima, org. It is vertually a free MOD, and looks even better on Maxima from 95 to 99 (?), as the turn-signal light and side marker are horizontally ligned up next to each other.

It is long time ago so I am not sure if mine is exactly the same. If I remember right, when I turn on the headlight, sider marker turns on; when I set the turn signal on with headkight on, turn signal light and side marker take their turn to be on and off, which looks very nice.

LED should work just fine. If not, just go back to orginal connections. I disconnected the side marker ground and connected it to a turn-signal control which switches between 12V and ground. Was 9 years ago, without schematic now I can't figure out how both lights alternate on and off, not on and off the same time. But it did work very well.

Actually I might want to do the same on my Qx4. The access is not quite easy.
