side marker size?

Hey guys i found some cheap universal clear side marker's on Ebay listed by size...anyone know the dimensions of a 92 240sx hatch front side market lights? Thanks! -Galen

You can pretty much have any size. Mine are alot smaller in size than stock but fit in the stock hole with a little bit of grinding.

ZILVIA.net has an install of some clear side markers off a mercedes SUV. They only cost the guy like 12 bucks for the pair and they look and fit well.

That is what I used. A pair of cler sidemarkers of a mercedes. What I meant by saying you can use any size is that whatever style and size you prefer will work as long as they arent smaller on the back side. Mine have alot smaller faces on them then the big wide stock ones. I can send a pic later on today if you want.

pics would be great...well i measured em a few days ago...forgot to post it. they're huge! theyre like 2x4 or something close to that. most of em selling are 1 3/4 x 3. so maybe ill just steal some froma junkyard and try em till i like it. Thanks guys!-Galen

sinful just go buy some brand new ones for a mercedes 320 SUV, they look nice and are only 12 bucks why **** around with these junkyard things and measuring and asking the question just go buy em and be happy

From your local Mercedez dealer. I plan on picking some up, but my local dealer is like 40 miles away. Not a real big deal just been busy/lazy. really though check out ZILVIA.net its under installs the guy has pics and tells you everything you need to know.

I bought mine on ebay for like 20 dollars. The install is super easy. The hardest part was removing the little orange cap on the inside which you can leave if you like. Otherwise I just fitted the existing harnesses in the back of the lights so I didnt have to wire anything. All I had to do was grind down the fender a little bit to fit them in. Just be sure not to grind too much of the fender!

It looks nice and clear as I removed that orane piece on the inside. You can put any color bulb in also for that custom effect. Like I said before, these are pretty straight forward install. If you have a dremel with a grinding bit and some patience this isnt that hard to do. But if you are not good at this kind of stuff I suggest not. I installed this on my practice fender pictured above, because if you grind the hole in the fender too bid you are screwed as you wont get neither side marker too fit. You have to be careful when grinding and keep checking to see if the marker fits yet. If you need any more help just email me.
