side door guards removal question?

Hey guys wats up .. i bought my G about 2 months ago.. it has the aero package and all that and it also came with those door guards.. im not sure if i really want them on.. if i were to try and take em off.. would they damage the orignial paint underneath or would the line from the door guards stay there.. i think i wanna remove them, i like the way the G looks without them a whole lot more.. thanks

oo and any tips on how to take em off best without messin up the paint .. thanks

Heat Gun and GooGone Look up de-badging and it should tell you how to get stuff like that off. I think it's just held on with 3M double sided tape.
