Might be helpful. Might be biased.

Just throwing this out there.

We got curious about this a while back at work and cut a bunch of different brands open just to see what was in them and all I can say is that if you saw how a Fram is put together you would never buy another one, they are nothing but cardboard, glue, and paper. Most of the other brands looked kind of similar with the exception of the Purolator which seemed much better built. But the one that really surprised us was the cheapest of the bunch, Supertech. They are actually a really well constucted filter, silicon valve, and plenty of filter element surface. They are made by Champion by the way as we found out with a little digging. If money was a concern I would opt for the Supertech after seeing the inside of all those filters and had to choose between the low to mid priced ones.

good find for sure, although I have a stock pile of Mobile 1 and K&N filters I have to stick with amsoil based on the flow design.

i found 6 oil filters from nissan in the back of my car when i got it unopend still in the box from nissna...dont know if it is any better then any of those (probably not) but free oil filters that are blue and say nissan on them :naughty:

anyone else running nissan oil filters? the guy i got my car from worked at nissan so i guess he just got them cheap from there, any drawbacks to just running one of these oil filter and not somthing like K&N?
