For those of you that have showtime on demand, this should be in the movies section. Those of you that have seen this please chime in with your feedback.

This is yet another documentary by Michael Moore. The first thing you all should know is that i COMPLETELY disagree with Moore on almost everything he says or does.

This film broke my heart. It's about the US healthcare, how hard it is to get insurance, and how hard it is (when covered) to get insurance to pay. He takes trips canada, england, france, and cuba. He interviews several doctors and former americans who now live there about the universal health care, government paid school, colleges, etc.

The part that really got to me, was that Moore took 3 boat loads of US citizens who are sick (no insurance, insurance won't cover their particular illness, etc.) to Havana, Cuba to a government run hospital. (Three of these people were volunteer 9/11 relief workers who contracted serious illnesses directly from working at ground zero - but were denied the 9/11 workers relief fund). They were all treated in Cuba - FREE OF CHARGE!!!!

One of the relief workers, because of her illness, now has to raise her two kids on her $1,000/month social security/disability check. of that $1000, she has to buy 2 inhalers a month that cost $120 here in the US. Their first stop in Cuba was a pharmacy where Moore got her the exact same inhaler for 3.20 pesos or ~$0.05 each. ($120 in the US/$0.05 in cuba) The woman broke down crying saying she wishes she could fill a suitcase with them and take it home.

I believe this movie will open your eyes to the alarming fact of what's going on around us. And I think it is an absolute necessity that everyone sees this.

I really feel her pain. This country has to do something quick. I have insurance

and it costs a lot and I rarely use it. This poor lady gets the boot treatment.

Shoot, I'll give her or anyone the medical insurance coverage I have just to

make he/she feel good. Uncle Sam isn't, why not us. I feel a person with or

without insurance should get universal help. Jesus helped many out. HE never

charged nor rejected the weak and the sick.

We should really lead by HIS example. Congress and/or the President need

to step up and tackle this issue pronto.

How on earth did he get 3 boats to cuba, considering that the US has travel restrictions on Cuba?

they sailed into guantanamo bay (us water) parked their boat on the shore away from everyone and everything & walked into communist cuba down some back road.

The real question is; how did they get by US customs and Coast Guard. It's their job to stop [check] incoming and outgoing traffic in that vicinity. Cuba is only 90 miles away from the US shoreline. What happen there?

Yeah, I downloaded it a long time ago. Pretty crazy how our health care ranked on par with Slovakia I think.

the coast guard let them go, but wouldn't let them record getting there.
