Dave's typically very methodical (i.e. SLOW) with his builds ( ), but they always turn out amazing.

I'll see if he can pop in and update you guys in person.

Yep, I love the Poe! His cars are sick, lemme see if I can find one of my old pics of his widebody s13.5.

The pink car is dave's other project and it's very slow but will be a beastly rb25 s13 whenever it's done:

Here's his old s13.5:

Sure it takes money (what doesn't) but from my experience it is EASIER to build on a clean shell and make 'SICKEST' out of a beat-up.

The ones going on this car look like CCW's, the ones on the turtle wax skyline are HRE's.

His other 2 cars are nice. This one looks a bit crazy.

Hey everyone, this is Dave (Poe), the owner/builder dude guy haha. Ok the vert project I just started a few months back. I got the shell from Greg (thanks again!) with no real plans. I don't really like convertibles (no offense to vert lovers) so I would def want a roof for it, this would also allow me to lower the roof line. I really like how the fd rx7 roof looks so thats what I'm using, I got the hatch shell as well so I can use the rear glass and hatch frame. That was the start. The next thing I decided on was the wheels because I knew I was going to have to build the body around the sizes I chose. Originally I was going to get Work Meisters but stumbled upon CCW just before I was going to order them. I like the idea of having the wheels in 2 weeks rather than 3 months I have the rear wheels right now, 18x14 -16 with Nitto 555 335/30/18s. Basically with that offset I need to widen the quarters 4.75 inches on each side!! After thinking of ideas for a few weeks I ordered some z06 rear quarters from GM. Guess what after some trimming/fitting/lots of it they are 4.75 inches wider, and they look pretty decent. There is a duct in the front that I will actually utilize to cool the rear brakes. I'll post some pics up tomorrow or the next day. I have the rear of the car cut and the quarters pretty much fitted with the rear bumper in place. I have a ton of work to do as far making it all work but it fits really well. I'm getting Kouki 180sx LEDs for the c6 bumper. I took about 8" off the rear of the car to mate the bumper with the quarters.

I'm pretty sure I know what fron end I'm using but I'll wait to share because its going to be difficult to picture. Heck its going to be difficult for me to even pull off :/

For the motor I def want to go v8. Originally I was going to do a twin turbo ls1 but now I'm almost certain I'm doing ITBs, just have to pick the power plant but most likely vh45 pushed back for 50/50 weight ratio. Still researching other motor possibilities.

The next step is getting that roof skin on and windshield frame welded back in. Then I can weld the hatch frame on and start on cage designs and getting the quarter panels attatched.

My pink s13 should be on the road end of July, rb25 gt35r, probably about 500whp, I'll def post pics when its all done.

Thanks for everyone's interest, feel free to ask q's

Why not a VQ35TT for 50/50 ratio? I think it would be lighter than VH45, no?

I just want a v8 in there, but i don't think the vh45 is much heavier than a vq? anyone know? either way I am still going with a v8 and ITBs. I just have always wanted to do ITBs, and it should be fairly beneficial on the track.

Hmm I don't quite remember but I think they were 18x10 and 18x9.5 265s in the rear 235s up front? offsets weren't the greatest so I used spacers.

Damn whenever I decide to get some ZG flares for my Z i wouldn't mind taking a drive to Arizona so I can trust that someone so experienced is working on my car. You sir are awesome at body work.

BTW that car definitely needs a NA high comp. V8
