I dunno, why are boobs good, why is a susnset good. It just is.
I already pointed out, im not sayin it in a "wow wtf is the point of that ur so gay zomg" kinda way, im actually asking. Wouldnt it just be easyer to buy a vette? If hes doing this because he wants to have the pride of saying he built his own car in a sence, then thats different.

I was looking for an actual answer, not trying to be a d*ck

He's not trying to build a vette out of a 240. He's just using the rear body parts out of a vette to fit his massive wheels.

Basically I wanted to use something I could replace somewhat easily. The z06 quarters were the perfect part for me to use (as far as fit and actual function) so i thought why not use the rear bumper for an easier way to build the widebody. It may be possible for me to have a whole removable rear widebody/bumper with these parts. Anyway I'm not trying to mimmick the look of a corvette, these parts I have are going to be modified, so the final product really won't resemble a corvetter rear.

The main purpose of the build is just because I want to. Something fun to work on. When it is done it will be one of a kind. Should be fun to drive too.

exactly, they worked too well not to use them to cover a 18x14 -16 offset wheel

Sorry for the noob body work question, but when you are done will it remotely resemble the rear end of a 240sx?

Hmm well the taillights will. JDM Kouki 180sx.

The portion below the taillights is going to be for the most part some sort of rear diffuser

Aesthetically, I can't tell whether I'm going to love it or hate it, but it's going to be inconquerably badass regardless.

Those are some monstrous wheels.....

I'd have just gone with some easy-breezy rivet-ons, albeit huge boso ones, lol.

Anyway, amazing work, can't wait to see it done.

I've a bad feeling this will look like ****.

Utter ****.Combining Kouki tails with a Corvette end.

Get any nastier than that..I can't imagine it looking good.NEVER.

Those wheels are pretty fkin big. 18x14 -16..I've to say, I'm sure it was a feat trying to fit them in, but why do you resolve to the corvette rear? Why not widebody.. I'm sure they're just as affordable or resourceable than those Corvette ends..

BTW.. do those clear your suspension? I cant imagine ##x14 -16 wheel clearing any sort of suspension in the stock position.

Props for something different, but I'm wondering why people aren't bashing this thread when many frowns on LS1 swaps, Domestic frontend conversions and the likes.

GL with this anyways..

An mean to an end, it wont even resemble a Vette when he's done, that's the goal anyway. I say next series of updates and Poe will have you typing something along the lines of never say never. That C6 Z06 rear end fits so nicely on there and with the custom working of the FD hatch/roof, why not use it? For that matter why hasn't anyone bashed the roof'hatch, cause it JDM tyteness or something? Just musing that's all.

Can't wait to see the results.

Kind of curious of the brake set-up to stop those massive rollers.
