Sick RATTLE!!

I have a 91' 240, It runs good, but my biggest complaint is it makes a nasty sound in the engine bay, it sounds like a loose pulley, or something. The sound is very inconsistent; It goes away at certain RPM's, im guessing a pulley, waterpump, or something in the valvetrain. Sound familliar anyone!!????? HELP!!!!!!!!

What does it sound like, is it a taping sound, a swirling sound, is it a metalic sound. How many miles ? My car has anoisy lifter. Where is the sound coming from ? The top of the motor, the front ? If you discribe it better we could help you better.

Note when the sound is at it's worst and when it goes away. Also note what kind of sound it is. Just as Working said, is it a tap, a clunk, ect?

It sounds like the front, can't really tell bottom or top;Doesn't sound like noisy injectors, its very mettalic, like two metal peices spinnig fast and rubbing into another breifly. The sound occurs at low rpm, and high revs; It stays as the revs climb, but occassionally stops, but nevermore than a few seconds. VERY WEIRD!!!! THNAKS FOR THE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
