Sick of the factory radio in my 05, aftermarket questions

My wife's 05 Murano has the stock non bose non navi radio and it will no longer load a CD. So, I want to pull just the radio/cd section out and replace it. Can just that section be pulled out? If so, does any one have any pictures of an aftermarket radio installed? I would really like to see about what it will look like before I take the plunge.
